Why Pick Up and Put Down?

Pick Up and Put Down Origin

After my family experienced the transition of our loved one, I found myself feeling lethargic. We all loved my uncle, so it made sense that I would be feeling his loss. It hurts. But no matter what, I knew that he would want me to be happy about his home-going. So, It got me thinking about how I can find more joy in my moments right now.

In walked the idea to do a detox. Doing a detox can sound scary though. However, if you read about the detox process, you know how important they are. There is a time for everything, and now is a great time to detox.

Where to Start

Helpful Tips:

  1. Grab a detox journal.
  2. Choose the easiest habits and triggers first (Use your detox menu!)
  3. Find an accountability partner and share your plan with them.
  4. Write down which 3 things you will start with. Again, I want to stress: choose the easy ones first. Focus in on what is already good to begin in gratitude and with ease.
  5. Mark your calendar for June 21st (5-6pm) day 1! for our first online class.
  6. Log on to Teachable everyday to interact with your course and stay inspired.
  7. Revisit your plan and your why often to remind yourself why you are here for 12 days now.
  8. Check your email each day for helpful detox tips and treats from me.
